Legal Term: QUASI PURCHASE

Definition: This term is used in the civil law to denote that a thing is to be considered as purchased from the presumed consent of the owner of the thing, as, if a man should consume a cheese, which is in his possession and belonging to another, with an intent to pay the price of it to the owner, the consent of the latter will be presumed, as the cheese would have been spoiled by keeping it longer.
