Legal Term: CITATIO AD REASSUMENDAM CAUSAM
Definition: civil law. The name of a citation, which issued when a party died pending a suit, against the heir of the defendant, or when the plaintiff died, for the heir of the plaintiff. Our bill of revivor is probably borrowed from this proceeding.
