Is there any kind of loan forgiveness program for law school grads that are clerking? How much would a clerk be expected to pay off on that low of a salary?

i think the best you can hope for is to get a bonus from an employer to help pay for the debt. you can not discharge student loans in bankruptcy and you can not just forget about them.

Francis is right. I've tried to get rid of teh student loan debt, but even if you die the debt is an obligation of your estate, assuming you have assets at death. Marry rich and have your husband pay for the student loans.
