I went into my bank today and they said that i have a levy on my bank account from the IRS for $487 dollars related to my 2009 taxes. MMy question si how can the IRS levy assets without sending advance notice to me? I called the IRS and spent 30 minutes waiting to talk to someone on the phone today. I was at work and needed to hangup, so i will try calling again tomorrow. I'm sure this has happened before to others. Any recommendations on how to handle and resolve quickly?
