transporting a gun 7 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
My brother and I have inherited our uncle's personal effects in his house. We found a few old rifles and hand guns and would like to sell them for cash. I plan on taking them to a nearby gun store for resale. What are the rules/laws for transporting guns in SC. Do i need to retitle the guns in my name before i sell them? Also, there are no serial numbers on some of the guns, so i am not sure they are registered anywhere

Generally you must keep the gun unloaded and in a trunk. If you get stopped by the police, you must notify them that you are transporting a weapon.
