I gave a CD of some music (no lyrics) which i mixed to a friend and the CD eventually found its way to a DJ which played it without my permission. I never officially copyrighted the music and wonder what steps I need to take to protect my work. If I don't officially defend my copyright, does this mean that I will lose it?
