Is an employer responsible for fixing your car if it is involved in an accident while traveling to conduct company business on company time and they require you to use your own vehicle?

Depends on the state. If the state is a no-fault state, then i believe that the driver needs to look at his insurance first before looking at the employer. If the car was owned by the employer, then definitely look to the employer's insurance first.
