Once you apply for admission to a federal court, say the court of appeals, is there an annual renewal or requirement to show that you are in good standing every yr?
Anyone applied online?

To obtain admission to a federal court, go to their website and download the application for admission, then attach a letter of good standing from your state bar and pay the application fee.
I dont think any federal courts require annual renews. At least, i've never been asked to renew annually.

No. Once you apply you are in, it generally is a one time fee for processing, and some courts do not charge. But, most court require a sponsor attorney, the DC circuit requires two.

I know that Florida does not have reciprocity. If you are licensed in another state, then you must take the Florida Bar exam to practice in FL.
I think they wanted to limit the # of attorneys in FL. Maybe there were too many people preying on the elderly!
