I seem to perform very on essay. I know how to structure the essay and write concise. However, i dont perform as well on standardized exam. I can usually narrow the answer choices to two, but i seem to choose the wrong answer choice more than the correct one. I would like to know if someone can recommend a book or course to assist me with overcoming my standardized exam lack luster scores?

Mastering standardized exams requires that you understand the passage and the question stem. I would take a test taking course which will focus on reading comprehension and analyzing answer choices. If you understand why you are answering questions wrong, then you will raise your score. Most people score low on standarized exams because they read too fast and miss important information.

I feel as if i have done all that everyone recommends. I think the next step is to just hire a private tutor.

Hey, do whatever you have to do to improve your score. If it costs some money, its ok. The better the score the higher the compensation.

Dont waste your time doing a million questions and repeating the same mistakes. Hire a tutor to analyze your test taking technique. Only an analysis of your technique will reveal your weakness and flaws. Its worth the money. The higher you score, the better the law school admission opportunities and in return the greater the chance of landing that top job!
