I have a client that is buying his loan from a now defunct bank who was taken over by the FDIC. I just discovered there are taxes due on the property. I wonder whether the FDIC will payoff the debt prior to the sale of the note. I'm sure they wont. Anyone have any experience with Note redemptions?
