I have been assessed a payroll tax liability by the IRS. I have other credit card debt and student loans. Based on my research, the tax debt and student loan debts cant be discharged. Are there ways of getting rid of it?

Bankruptcy cant discharge a payroll tax (i.e. trust fund) liability. If you dont have any assets or cash flow, then the IRS may put it in uncollectible status. That means they wont bother you for a while, but they will check back every 6 months or so to see if you can pay.
