Creating a tier structure will make it a bit more work for creditors to come after you, but the if you want to setup an entity for creditor protection, consider incorporating in a state that provides the most creditor protection such as Delaware, Nevada, or Alaska.

Also, if your operating agreement and articles of organization provide for indemnification of the officers and board members, then thats a form of creditor protection. Add that to an E&O insurance policy, and you should be well protected.
