I have been hearing a lot about how well lawyers in places like Dubai are doing, but I can't really get a feel for what that means? I mean, are these guys making like $10,000.00 per month, $40,000 per month, what? I don't expect an exact figure, but I would not mind if someone has an informed opinion, on average of course, as to what type of income we are talking about? Just curious.

Salaries vary substantially for attorneys working overseas. I have friends that are earning 20k month in China, and 45k month in the middle east. It depends on your specialty and abilities. For example, a securities attorneys that speaks the foreign country's native language and who is licensed in NY will probably command top dollar.

Also dont forget, US persons working overseas can excluded a portion of their foreign sourced income from federal income taxes. Check with your tax advisor/CPA for more details.

There are a lot of opportunities to work overseas if you have the connections and the requisite experience.
