One of the law schools I applied to has had my application sitting in committee since November 20th. Is this normal? Is this a good or bad sign?
What would you say is an average for being in committee?

Depending on the law school, the admissions committees meet every 3 weeks. FOr example, U of Mich they tend to meet the 3rd Thursday of each month. So, maybe you missed the November cycle.

Its now been 1 month, so either the committee has reviewed it by now, or they will wait until after the holiday. either way, i should hear something my the first part of January. It sucks that they cant even post online that they have or are reviewing my application. How about a tweet? That would be awesome!

Not sure which schools you applied to, but some schools dont send acceptance letters until they have 75% of the first year class picked, as they tend to bump students when better applications come in. Which schools are you applying to?
