I have worked for National City bank for almost 4 years. When i decided to go to law school a big factor was that Nat City was to pay for most of the tuition as long as i committed to staying at Nat City for at least 4 years after i earned my law degree. Now, they have cut off all MBA, and law school tuition reimbursements. My question is which companies are still paying for law school? I need to jump ship to get some law school assistance!

Chase bank still pays tuition reimbursement for salary employees who have worked for Chase for at least 2 years and sign an agreement to continue working for Chase for at least 2 years after they earn their degree. If you leave prior to the end of the 2 years then you owe the money back to the back. Thats rather common business practices. Most banks and companies require the same.

American Federation of Teachers- up to $17,500 loan forgiveness off of your Stafford loans. 100% loan forgiveness for your Perkins loans. Both after 5 years of teaching in high need schools.

BANK OF AMERICA - Up to $2000 reimbursement per year for undergrad, $4k for graduate school. Any major for undergrad, grad work must be biz related. Not reported as income for undergrad. FYI, Bank of America suspended their employee tuition reimbursement program and its only offered to salaried employees in the corporate office who have worked for BOA for 2 + years. Otherwise, there is no education benefit.
