I'm a 0L. I've done about as much research into the profession as I can and I think I will enjoy law school and practicing law. My only hangup is that it seems that most lawyers are superfluous, if not damaging to our society. Too many lawyers are forced to go out and scrounge up frivolous litigation just to pay the bills. They might even become very successful, but what do they add to society?

I had an interesting conversation with the attorneys I work for the other day. It's a total money-making game for them. They thinks notions of "justice" are laughable.

It makes me rethink my decision that I will soon be joining the mass of cynical lawyers just trying to make a buck.

Is this a fair assessment of the legal profession?
