Our client is a member of the S&P 500, Forbes 500 and Fortune 500. And they are looking for a VP Of Compliance.
Through its family of companies, our client provides mortgage banking and diversified financial services in domestic and international markets. Mortgage banking businesses include loan production and servicing which originates purchases, securitizes, sells, and services residential loans.
Responsibilities:
Advising all levels of Management on compliance with Labor and Employment laws
Ensuring the legal integrity and accuracy of all of the Company's Employment policies, postings and practices
Designing and executing Company strategy for HR Compliance through the research, recommendation and implementation of compliant policies, procedures and programs
Directing the activities of HR Compliance Managers and Specialists
Hiring, motivating, training and managing the performance of direct reports
Participating in cross-functional, companywide initiatives
Providing expertise in the area of Labor and Employment Law Compliance
Acting as Company Representative for selected interactions with Government Agencies and other Third Parties
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
7+ years of Human Resources and/or Legal experience (including experience with Labor and Employment Law Compliance)
Extensive knowledge of Labor and Employment laws and current trends
Superior analytical and evaluative skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, presentational and research skills
Working knowledge of the standard Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access) and HR computer systems (i.e. PeopleSoft and related applications)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
The Ideal Candidate May also Possess:
Advanced degree in Business, Human Resources, Law or related area
Knowledge of California employment laws
Immigration experience (sponsorships, visa, etc.)
