Transfer from T100 to T20 law school 2 Years, 11 Months ago  
I would like to know if anyone has transfered from a lower ranked top 100 school to a T14 school?

I have a friend that told me he knew someone that pulled straight As in his first year at Ohio State law school, and then was able to transfer up to University of Michigan Ann-Arbor. Can 1st year law school grades get you into a top law school?

Transferring law schools is a lot easier said than done. After my first year of law school at DCL at MSU, i tried to transfer to U of M and they rejected my application, as they said that even though I 4 pointed my first year at DCL, that U of would only consider transfer applications from a T-14 school. That way all applicants are on par with each other. So, I just that you LSAT score still matters even after you get into law school!

The above post is absolutely false, each year Michigan takes students from Wayne State Law and MSU, I also know someone who transferred up from Toledo.

i agree with Call Out only that you can transfer if your stats are awesome otherwise you are stuck where u r at!

Expect a wait list for lateral transfers. If you couldnt get in based on LSAt and GPA to start with, then your chances are likely slim on transfer. Unless you transfer down rather than up.
