Does anyone know how long it takes for the Oakland County Register of Deeds, in Michigan, to record a deed?

I believe it takes 4 8 months to file a deed and obtain a stamped copy. Wayne county takes much longer.
I know that warranty deeds require a tax certification and will take longer to process, but quit claim deeds are processed without certification, which means they may get processed sooner.

I assume you mean 48 hours. The Wayne County Register of Deeds (ROD) does take a bit longer, however, I believe a decision came down last year requiring a 24 or 48 hour turnover, I can't remember which one. Also, the ROD is currently in litigation regarding same. Either way, I believe the effective date of filing is considered to be the time-stamped date, regardless of when the ROD inputs into their computers.
