According to the AARP, the SSA will be offering SS benefits on a Mastercard to some receiptients in Texas, Lousiana, Arkansas, & Oaklahoma. SSA will reload the Mastercard each month with benefit payments. The problem is that its likely that these credit cards could be lost or stolen. In addition ATM withdrawals will cost the user money, statement details will also cost money (75 cents per paper statement and 50 cents per online statement).
