home owner's association 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 2  
client plans on developing parcels of land and wants to establish a homeowner's association. Does a tax return need to be filed for it? Does it pay taxes or is it exempt?

a homeowner's association is usually setup as a non-profit corp and needs to file a tax return.

This question goes over looked very often. IRS needs to make it simplier and easier to file.
