Where is the best place or reference material to obtain state by state distinctions for matters such as torts, real property, contacts and criminal law?

The only place i have seen a state by state distinction list is in a Barbri book. There may be hornbooks out there which have some distinctions, but i am not sure of a book or a group of books which compare state law nuances. I imagine it would be hard to keep updated as you would need to track the laws of each state 24/7
