US World News only lists a handful of law schools that require 90 credits. All of them are 4th tier law schools.

I think the 90 credit requirement was established because some schools were at risk of loosing accreditation and the ABA imposed this requirement on certain law schools in an effort to get law students increase their chances of passing the bar. Not sure one more course at law school would make a difference.
Maybe the ABA should make the extra class a bar exam prep class.

Univ of Florida and other law schools have a 90 credit curriculum for evening students. The 90 credit program is based on day/evening rather than on law school rank/tier
