Entering First Moot Court Competition 1 Year, 2 Months ago

Hello, I'm new to the forum and I am seeking advice. I am a 1L and I am entering the competition that gets you into moot court. Is there anything I need to know about besides the cases? Should I treat it like I'm in an actual court? I don't know anything about it but my professors tell me that I need to try out for it and that they think I'd do well. Any advice for this poor lost 1L? Thank you kindly.

The judges will try to get you mixed up and off your script. Know your arguments; plan rebuttables; plan that they wont let you complete 1 sentence and try to convince them in plain language rather than trying to recipt cases.
