Since high school i have acquired a tendency to get super high test taking anxiety just before and during an exam. I believe that this anxiety keeps me from scoring higher. I know its a mental issue and i will probable get heckled from the forum community for mentioning it but i need some real advice that i can use to help me when taking exams. Constructive suggestion are appreciated.

You may need to see a therapist to identify the root of your exact problem. My guess if the you lack confidence. If you know the material, then you should be able to restate in on the exam. What exactly is your issue with taking exams? Timing, concentration?

I had the same problem. For me, the solution was practicing taking the test the day before the test. I found that the more i acted like i was taking the test the less stress i felt on test day. It also helped me prepare early for the exam. However, sometimes the opposite would happen - i would prepare for the "pre-test" and i wasnt really prepared at all.

Psych test is great, but dont get sucked into weekly meetings. It will just make you more nervous. Trust me.

I agree with the comment about over-preparing. It's difficult to combat that type of anxiety, which I suffer from as well. But at a minimum, in order to ensure a good test result, you always have to study longer, harder, and better.

See a therapist. You may go thru hypnosis or maybe even given a presription for anxiety. Its very common.
