Does anyone have any suggestions as to what books I should read prior to starting 1st year?

Start by reading Black's law dictionary. If the book store gets the case books in early, buy the case books and read the first 200 pages of each. That should keep you busy.

I highly recommend
Acing Your First Year Of Law School: The Ten Steps To Success You Won\'t Learn In Class, 2nd Edition, by Shana Connell Noyes; Henry S. Noyes

ISBN: 978-0-8377-1410-3

I went to the book store and they had some "secondary source" materials - Emanuals Outlines. The clerk at the book store said to get them and read them in injunction with the case book.

Any thoughts on this recommendation?
