The new $1 consideration 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
It use to be sufficient to use $1.00 as good and valid consideration for the conveyance of property. I heard that the law had changed. Does anyone know what the new "$1.00" is now?

Most states have made a signature sufficient consideration. We still, including my self, use some form of valuable consideration, but it mostly out of tradition. A signature is statutorily deemed sufficient consideration to bind a contract now.
