I need some feedback for the forum.
Facts:
Client (homeowner) sues interior designer for fraud. Interior designer took homeowner's money with no intent on providing services. Client sues and gets a judgement against the interior designer. Homeower gets a judgement lien and files it on interior designer's home. Interior designer's home is held husband and wife, so there is creditor protection under state law.
Under AZ law, the judgement lien lasts for 10yrs. So far three years have expired, so 7 years remain. Is there a way to speed up the collection process? Is there a way for homeowner to get his money before the judgement expires? What happens if the judgement exipres? Can homeowner extent the term for another 10 years?
Thanks in advance.
