What is the statute of limitations for the federal prosecutor to bring an indictment against a person? An alleged fraud occurred in June 2007, but as of today no charges have been brought. The state is Ohio, but the charges are likely to be federal.

Depends on the fraud. For example, the state of limitations on a tax fraud is 6 years, but the statute of limitations on mail fraud is 5 years. Fraud in the theft of art work is 20 yrs (18 U.S.C. 3294); 10 years for arson Section 81, subsection (f), (h), or (i) of Section 844.
