Any person summoned for jury service who fails to respond or appear may be ordered by the court must show good cause for non-compliance with the jury summons otherwise you could be fined not more than $100 or imprisoned not more than three (3) days, or both, pursuant to Title 28, USC Section 1866.

Many people skip jury duty and they are simply put on the list to serve again. I've never heard of anyone surving time for skipping out on jury duty.

Thanks all! I dont think i'm at risk. I will just wait to get called again for jury duty.
