short sale waiting period 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago	Karma: 0
my aunt wants to short sale her home before she looses it to the bank. The realtor said she can short sale it but one of my friends said that the house must be listed for 90 days before the homeowners can enter into a short sale. Anyone have experience with short sales. The realtor is correct. The reason, is that the bank may want to see if they can get more than the amount of the bank loan as the sale price. If the house can sell for more than the debt, then there is no need for a short sale. Some smaller banks dont do short sales.
