Has anyone read the book Aftershock? I'm half way through it and i feel like the law schools are creating a lawyer bubble and the law schools are cheerleading the bubble to grow even bigger

You relate the bubble analogy to everything: too many fast food; too many banks; too many....
However, i do agree that as the population of attorneys increase, the value of the services provided will ultimately decrease. Simple supply & demand.

The bubble analogy doesnt make sense. The use of the "bubble" refers to a bubble popping and wealth or value evaporating. So, even if there are too many attorneys right now i cant imagine a "bubble" popping and eliminating hundreds of thousands attorneys unless they were all in a stadium and a bomb went off.
What i think will happen is that attorneys will need to come up with other ways to value their services as hourly rates will fall (due to competition) and the good attorneys will set them selves apart with alternative payment options.

Some attorneys are taking equity in client ventures rather than hourly rates. Equity is great, but cash is king, especially since >90% of all businesses fail within the first 3 years.
