UK LL.M programs are like starting law school from scratch. I think UK LL.M programs are 2+ years. Not sure they offer many US based law courses. Not sure how useful courses in English law would be if you cant practice there....

According to Univ LS admissions staff, many LS grads are immediately pursing an LL.M program as they are unable to locate solid, permanent employment.
I think that an LL.M is a valuable asset. The problem is whether you can afford to be un-employed for an additional year and how much longer will it take to payoff the existing student loan debts and the LL.M. Not to mention, there is usually a limit on the amount of student loans you can obtain.
