It all depends on the law school which you graduate from, your skill set and your client base. I know many attorneys which annually out earn physicians.

Say what you want about there being too many attorneys, but its my modo that there is always room for another great attorney and having a law degree doesnt limit you to practicing law. In fact, most attorneys i know either dont practice law or practice law and have other businesses that are not law related.

So, for me, i look forward to getting my law degree as it will give me more opportunities than i have right now.

Lets do 10yr averaging. Unless you're getting 100MM class action cases, doc salaries beat attorney salaries.
