I think one should consider dropping out of lawschool only if they have better options. If not, stick with it as its a great education and can open many doors.

My brother is a 3rd year resident at the Mayo clinic and said that 3 of his classmates have dropped out as they cant stand the lifestyle of physicians. In addition, there is real concern that physician pay will be drastically reduced under the Obama health care reform. So, every professional has their own peaks and valleys. I agree with William. Stick with the law unless you have another option with fewer hurdles. Otherwise, the law is a great education which will open many doors.

It would be interesting to hear from someone that actually dropped out of law school. Any takers?

before you drop out, check with your law school to find out how long you can be away from school and still return to continue your education. Just understand your options. A corp finance is a pretty lucrative degree/background.

i fundamentally disagree with pmixer's post. It generally taxes 10yrs at a firm to make the wage that a doctor makes right out of law school. A doctor that is 10 yrs into his career has accumulated a lot more wealth than the attorney working his way up at the law firm.
