thank you all for your advice. After talking with my father/banker, it looks like i have to commit to a career even if it means that i will be miserable. Have a license to a profession will is better than being unemployed without a license to make a living.

It is a really bad idea, if things are bad at school because you are being harassed (sexually or otherwise) or bullied try changing schools rather than quitting.
It is so not worth it - if academics are hard for you see your school counsellor about a non-academic program, voluntarily set yourself back a grade, or get Learning Assistance (even if it is informally from a friend).
Drop outs have a harder time getting good, secure, decent paying jobs.
More and more entry level and trade specific jobs require a minimum of high Dropping out gives you a lot of free time, even if you get a full time job, you are more likely to get in to a self destructive rut including drugs and/or alcohol.

raping the system will be a thing of the past as the government is cracking down on health insurance fraud. There are insurance fraud task forces established in Florida and Texas penalizing physicians, nursing homes, doctors, dentists and chiropractors. On NPR news they said that these task forces are saving over 2 Billion revenue to Medicaid alone.

So, i'd say rape the legal system with your law degree. Bill for your time!

Yeah, the docs getting out of med school will be SOL when there are limits on billing the insurance companies and they have $200k ++ of law school debt. The grass is not always greener!

Francis, compare doctor salaries with that of law firm partners, and you will see that they are in-line with each other. If you keep that in mind, then law school and the cost of law school make sense. I'd say stick with law school and in the long term, the rewards are there.
