I know this question is in the wrrong section, but i didnt know which to post it.

I'm just wondering if this is standard practice or completely un-heard-of because I really don't know:

I know that schools give out full tuition scholarships all the time and that these often cover books, but what about housing? Assuming someone wanted to live off campus, is there such this as a scholarship of X amount per month just to cover rent and living expenses?

The only reason I know this is that I have been calling schools asking them the same questions. George Washington LS, offers full tuition and an apartment stipends; Chicago Kent has the Honors Scholar Program which offers - Full tuition plus $10k stipend per year.

Illinois at Syracuse offers full tuition + $12,000/year for living expenses.

I am sure there are others.

When I was going through the process I had hoped to qualify for some type of grant or scholarship, unfortunety I didn't. But during my research into this topic, I found out that if you qualify there are all sorts of different types of grants, stipends, books stipends and all sorts of stuff. It just depends on where you go and how much you qualify for.
