The top law firms will always be critical of your GPA, no matter how long ago you attended law school. They have an image to uphold, that they only hire the top 10%.

After your first job, most firms will not care about grades as much as they care about billables.

LS grades will always be important to top law firms, but your UG grades not so much. LS is much more competetive these days as classes sizes continue to grow. It's a shame that so much emphasis is place on grades.
