Sorry, but i cant take the negative threads about hiring freezes and loss of jobs anymore.

So i am starting a "positive" thread. I have a job interview on Friday with a midsized firm. What are some good questions to ask the interviewing partners?

I have a phone interview tomorrow. Its with a Attorney General's office. Its for a summer internship. Its paid ($14/hr).

I will be asking them about the job functions, hours, type of work and required writing assignments. If this was a law firm then i could just go to their website and learn all about each person. Government doesnt work that way. No website with all that info.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I graduated in May, passed the bar in November and now have 2 job offers, not from law firms but from engineering companies. Its in line with my undergrad, but i was hoping for a law firm position. So, thats good news.

My good news is that i didnt get a speeding ticket on my way to class as i was running way late. Otherwise, there is no good news when it comes to jobs. Where are you finding clerking jobs, other than the law school newspaper?

My update: I did get the job at the Ag's office as a research writer and file clerk. I will be starting in 2 weeks. There is a new document management program which they are using to store documents and I will be assisting them with the conversion. While i'd like to do exclusively research and writing, i am just happy to have a position with a reputable company.
