Becoming a Judge 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
How many years of practice is required before you can put in for a judgeship? I heard it was 5 years, but I was just wondering if that's federally mandated or does it change from State to State?

I dont think you need experience to be a judge. They are usually elected or appointed. I think years of experience only matters for the US Supreme Court.
