I received an acceptance letter from a tier 2 LS, but i want to retake the LSAT in with the hope of qualifying for a 1st tier LS. The issue is timing as i am starting a job in a few weeks and i wont have a lot of time to prepare for the LSAT. My question is whether LSDAS will submit the new LSAT score to all the LS or should i terminate my subscription to LSDAS?

I am faced with a rather unique situation... I am at a cross-road and am quite lost as to what I should do...

I finished college early, went for my MBA and then started law school at a 4th tier school. I am bright, however never put in much effort. Now, after having completed my 1st year, I am regretting being such a slacker in my underage years. I wish I could restart my whole education and actually achieve what I know I'm capable of instead of choosing the easy route. Considering the currect economy, the future is questionable at best... Thus, my dilemma...

I had a decent gpa of 3.4 and an LSAT of about 150 without ever taking a prep course and only doing a few sample LSATs. People at my school got full rides with the same GPA and an LSAT of about 156 while I am paying 30K for tuition... I did not do great in my first year (mostly because I underestimated how much I should study, not because I have trouble getting the material) and the career prospects at graduation worry me. I would like to practice corporate/securities/international business law.

Thats a tough one. If you attempt to transfer and your LS grades were not stellar, you may not be able to "transfer up". If you take the LSAT again, the they will average your scores. Maybe your best bet is to four point your 2nd and third 4 and hope to get in at a top firm. Starting over would be a huge pain. Not to mention the expense.

YOu cant erase your prior LSAT. Retake and disclose. Thats your best option.

Mostly every bit of advice about taking the LSAT is to only take it once. I think that your score is excellent and puts you at an advantage. However, it does matter what your UGPA is, so if it is pretty good, I would leave it at that. You may want to call the admission office's of the schools you are interested in and ask their advice. If you can get face time with people in the admission office, that is even better! This is the best advice I can think of for your situation.
