Steve, the moderator as if I would start a thread to give advice on how to score well on the LSAT. So, here is what I did:
1) I scored a 166 on the LSAT without a retake.
2) I used only the powerscore bibles - no class time, no tutoring
3) I studied 3 times a week and weeknights
4) i studied while taking a full load of classes
5) I did about 5 1/2 diagnostics tests
6) If i could do it over, i wouldn't take a full prep course when i'm not so overloaded with school and family, and i would do more independent stud
7) I only gained 8 points from my first diagnositic exam to my actual LSAT score.
8) I suggest that you leave at least 2 weeks for pure test prep with out any interference from undergrad or work.
good luck!

how many weeks in total did you study? Did you spend your time evenly on each section or most of your time in one area?

most prep courses recommend at least 3 week prep. I think 4-6 weeks minimum is necessary so that you can get comfortable with the material.
