Jackie I assume you mean 48 hours. The Wayne County Register of Deeds (ROD) does take a bit longer, however, I believe a decision came down last year requiring a 24 or 48 hour turnover, I can't remember which one. Also, the ROD is currently in litigation regarding same. Either way, I believe the effective date of filing is considered to be the time-stamped date, regardless of when the ROD inputs into their computers.
Tomas P. I believe it takes 4 8 months to file a deed and obtain a stamped copy. Wayne county takes much longer.

I know that warranty deeds require a tax certification and will take longer to process, but quit claim deeds are processed without certification, which means they may get processed sooner.
bigdaddy Does anyone know how long it takes for the Oakland County Register of Deeds, in Michigan, to record a deed?
