Preston While dorms may allow you to "collaborate" more in the early times of law school, they also allow for less privacy and tend to be expensive. Once you get into a grove, I think you will appreciate the off campus living much better.
ai1829 i need all the student loans i can get just to pay room and board. I will look on www.craigslist.org to see if i can share a room.

Thanks for all your help.
et non check out craigslist.org for rooms to rent
Score162 The dorms are incredibly expensive. The lower east side, brooklyn, or deep uptown would provide cheaper room and board. I would find an open bedroom in a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment in the lower east side, rather than live in a dorm. The dorm will initially help you meet people, you can also network and socialize at the LS or at bar nights!
Olivia 07 My sister dorms at Cardozo. She says that dorm rates are more affordable, centrally located, and its better to have classmates close by so that you can collaborate........secretly. Either that or held into Jersy or Brooklyn.
ai1829 What do you think about living in NYU dorms vs. renting/ buying an apartment. I can afford an apartment in the area, but I'm wondering how much living in dorms with other law school students helps in terms of bonding, having a support structure, and socializing in general.
