Sumo so there is a redemption period, but if bankruptcy is filed, you must pay to rent the house. Sounds like its better to wait through the redemption period rather than file bankruptcy?
Jacob dont forget you get a 6 month period of redemption. However, the bankrupcty court will not allow you to occupy the home rent free. Whatever the going rent is for a comparable house will be the amount that you would have to pay the bankruptcy ttee.

If there is no intent to pay off the debt you will have about 1 - 2 months before you get displaced.
Sumo if you are filing bankruptcy, how long can you stay in the house before you gets removed? There is no intent to "reaffirm", just need time to find a place to rent.
norton You may not get kicked out at all if you reaffirm on the house. the bk should protect you unless you want to give it up. Or maybe I don't understand the question?
Sumo once you file bankrupcy, how long can you stay in your home before you get kicked out?
