Brian Check with your local state bar to see if they offer a free legal service. Or check with your local state bar for attorneys or law firms that offer pro bono services.

Or read a book on trial practice and do it yourself.

Tomas P. If you are planning an uncontested divorce then I would find an inexpensive attorney with experience to push the papers thru the system.

If there are child custody, alimony, and property settlement issues, then hire a very good attorney. Butzel Long has a very good family law department. I believe that Ed Gold is the head of the department. To retain him, you will need $$.

Tia A. I am looking for a good divorce attorney that will not charge me an arm and a leg. Even though I am a law student, I need a lawyer. Can anyone reccommend a good lawyer in the Detroit area. I will be moving there in the near future? Help.
