steve Salaries vary substantially for attorneys working overseas. I have friends that are earning 20k month in China, and 45k month in the middle east. It depends on your specialty and abilities. For example, a securities attorneys that speaks the foreign country's native language and who is licensed in NY will probably command top dollar.

Also dont forget, US persons working overseas can excluded a portion of their foreign sourced income from federal income taxes. Check with your tax advisor/CPA for more details.

There are a lot of opportunities to work overseas if you have the connections and the requisite experience.
BidDaddy Was not sure where to post this, but I figured as good a place as any. I have been hearing a lot about how well lawyers in places like Dubai are doing, but I can't really get a feel for what that means? I mean, are these guys making like $10,000.00 per month, $40,000 per month, what? I don't expect an exact figure, but I would not mind if someone has an informed opinion, on average of course, as to what type of income we are talking about? Just curious.
