Jacob If the parents are the custodian for the kids education accounts then the accounts are owned by the parents. In such a case, the custodian accounts are marital property. Usually the parents decide to leave the kids accounts alone. But, when times are tough these accounts are liquidated.

Talk about risking the kid's future!!!
Jacob Parents created education trusts fortheir kids. Parents are now in the process of getting a divorce. Husdand wants to divide the education trusts established for the kids because he needs the money? Are the education trusts exempt or non-marital property?
